"Was admitted with what the Dr said was an..."

Was admitted with what the Dr said was an infection of the blood in my leg, which has a chronic ulcer. Was seen that night at 2am by a Dr. He said I see you were admitted with Sickness and diarrhea , I said I have been vomiting have a very high temp and had such a head ache I couldn.t open my eyes. Also had pains in my groin. But no diarrhea. I was given intavenous antibiotics and fluids not having eaten for 3 days. No one looked at my ulcer to see the infected state it was in. No one changed the dressings because they had none, no one looked at the rampant cellulitas in my leg which was now so painful and red going dark brown around the Ulcer. The next morning I developed Diarreah, and was told to stay in bed as they had to isolate me in case of cross infection. I asked for a commode, but was never brought one, no nurses available to get one so ended up gong to the toilet twice. I saw the Day Dr. who again said I see you were admitted with sickness and diarreah. He pulled the dressing of my leg but didn.t say anything . Asked me who told me to take Digoxin (which I have had for 4 years) due to Attrial Fillibtation. then he diappeared. He the spent 1 hour or so with other Drs laughing and joking. Eventually was put in isolation, saw the day Dr, who wanted a sample of my stool. was given a commode, and duly gave a sample, this was and 12.30pm the commode was only picked up by a helper at 7pm that evening. Although I had told other nurses. I had to phone my husband to bring dressings for my leg, as they said they had no dressings, 10 yards away from the ward was the out patients where I go to have my leg seen to and dressed in a dressing room, Why could they not have got some dressings from there? Another Dr appeared and said Oh I see you were admitted with sickness and Diarrhea. I said no I wasn,t How can I have been admitted with Diarrhea only to get it a day later? But that was on the notes so that was Gods word. This other Dr said My stool was clear of C Diff, and it was the antibiotics that caused the Diarrhea. They gave me some other antibiotics and sent me home. I was feeling so ill, but no one but no one had addressed my leg, which had caused all the vomiting and head aches and temperature, As my husband arrived with my dressings I said I could go home. It took me a week, to feel ok again and to get the cellulitas under control. Not once did anyone mention my leg which was the cause of everything. If I had been admitted with Diarrhea I would have been isolated straight away, not put in a ward with 20 other people. When I saw my Dr the next week he said Oh I see you were admitted with sickness and diarreah. No I said and told him the true story. This was an awful experience for me. I felt so helpless, why wasn.t I treated for what was wrong? 10 days later my husband had a bad stroke, and got there within the "Golden Hour" and had the most attentive treatment you could have, He has recovered.
