"Emergency admission to CCU"

About: Glenfield Hospital

Anything else?

After suffering a heart attack at 05:15 on a Monday morning, I cannot praise the NHS enough, Paramedic arrived within 2 minutes, phoned through to call in the Stemi team within another couple of minutes, ambulance arrived again within minutes. Transported to Glenfield and rushed straight into surgery to have a stent fitted. Arrived on the CCU ward with all procedures completed around 8am. Fantastic care from all the doctors, nurses and ancillary staff, nothing was too much trouble. and I cannot praise them highly enough. Leicester is definitely the place to be if you are unfortunate enough to suffer a heart attack. Only bad point, hospital food, is it that bad so you get better and get out quicker?
