Recorded voice call to confirm appointment is a very poor idea given the fact that nuisance calls are on the increase.
I terminated a call this morning thinking it was someone trying to sell me something. It was only when I dialled 1471 to see if there was a number recorded that I found it was appointments wanting to confirm. This may seem like a good idea but has been very poorly thought out.
I wonder how many other people just terminate the call when confronted with a recorded voice?
Text message reminders are a better idea and less intrusive but what happened to real human beings?
