"Fantastic place and amazing staff"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Melton Mowbray)

Anything else?

I couldnt give birth inunit due to being high risk BUT the anti natal care and post natal care I received was above and beyond. I was having trouble with my 1st baby feeding and not sleeping and screaming all night and after a week of this my husband called St Mary's at 1.30am for some help. They invited us to the unit where they sat us both down, checked my son over and then checked my latch and positioning etc. They provided us with tea, biscuits and lots of help and understanding and we went away reassured and better able to cope with a newborn The unit is the Gold Standard in maternal care and instead of closing the unit (or threatening to) it should be held up as exactly how maternity services should be. Thank you to the midwives and staff of the unit for making both my high risk pregnancies so much easier than they would have been if I had not been able to go there. Lots of love and luck xxx
