Anything else?
I had to have my little boy at Leicester General as an emergency C section, whilst the staff there were very good at looking after me, they didn't have the time or inclination to help me look after my baby and as a result my little boy didn't feed and ended up being bottle fed formula, at our request we were transferred to St Marys, we arrived on the Tuesday night and straight away they helped me to express some milk to feed my baby, by the time we left on the Friday night, I had a completely breast fed baby, I was also shown how to bathe him and care for him. This help and guidance is invaluable is those first days after giving birth when your world is upside down and you have this little life that is dependent on you. I can't thank the staff at St Marys enough for there time, patience, professionalism, humour, skill and knowledge, from the domestic staff to the senior midwives they epitomise all that is great about the NHS and should be held up as an example of what great care is all about. Thank you
"Fantastic support"
