My daughter was admitted to HRI via air ambulance after an horrific car crash. She has serious leg and multiple injuries. A&E were excellent and she was speedily transferred to HDU. The staff in HDU were absolutely fantastic, caring and patient with our never-ending questions about our daughter's condition and treatment. She underwent hours of surgery on her shattered legs, a repair to a perforated bowel and various tests and CT scans. She has received excellent care and treatment and we are very grateful to all the HDU staff for their dedication skill and kindness to our daughter and us at this traumatic time. She has been transferred to the orthopaedics ward now and we only hope that they are as dedicated.
