"GP rang and informed me that they had been giving me too large a dose "

About: NHS Mansfield and Ashfield CCG

(as the patient),

Went to increase Vitamin D levels.

I was furious when yesterday my GP rang and informed me that they had been giving me too large a dose of Cholecalciferol. They had prescribed me 20, 000iu when it was clearly stated in a letter the dose was 800iu - that's 19, 200iu a day too much.

What has made me so cross is that for the past 9-12 months I have been very ill with sickness, diarrhoea, constipation, sweating, headache, weight loss, thirsty all the time, unable to eat and vomiting. This has caused me a lot of problems as I have had a renal transplant and am currently awaiting a liver transplant.

I have looked at the symptoms of overdoes (hyperglycaemia) and all the above and more are relevant.

Surely this is gross neglect and I will be taking legal advice.
