Anything else?
Good Afternoon, On 01 June 2013, at 1745, an unfortunate DIY accident earned me a visit to A&E at Great Western Hospital. As an American working for the US Department of Defense , I have personally never had to use the NHS for injuries or ailments and have only seen the news media coverage of the system which tends to be rather negative. I am writing to commend the excellent care I received at the Great Western Hospital from the time I walked through the door on 01 June, until I was discharged on 02 Jun 2013, following my surgery. The reception staff in A&E promptly recognized the severity of my injury and summed the ER Doctor who immediately initiated treatment. I was triaged and scheduled for theater due to the severity of my injury. While in the A&E and Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) I was continuously provided updates as to the extent of my injury by the orthopedist and the reason a visit to the operating suite was required. When in the SAU, I could hear the Nurse on the phone arranging a bed for me in the Aldbourne ward and also watched her personally attend to four other patients while there. The professionalism and dedication of your staff in A&E, the Surgical Assessment Unit, and the entire nursing staff on Aldbourne Ward was stellar and I have the upmost respect to the staff for the treatment received. Please extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to your staff for a job well done!
"Thank You!"
