Having a history of foot surgery both orthopaedic and major post tibial reconstruction, I have recently had a further operation called Kessel Bonny at Holme Valley Memorial Hospital.
This establishment specialise in feet and I was referred to a Podiatric Surgeon. I was a somewhat dubious at first as I have usually been referred to Orthopoedics.
Well all I can say is I am now more knowledgeable about all the previous operations I have had, and their side effects than I ever was. the stage explained everything that they would be doing, plus how and why. I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered fully. I felt I was in safe hands. The staff were friendly and professional.
The only negative in my observation was that the reception staff were not as efficient as they could have been.
"Apprehensive to start with but the referral worked out better "
