"Poor communication"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

(as a relative),

My wife is currently under treatment with the Dept. of Cardiology at Pinderfields.

I tried on numerous occasions to contact that department using the three contact numbers listed on the letter we received.

To date the phone has never been answered. On two occasions I dialed all three at the same time using three phones and left them ringing for 25 min's. I can only assume that the phones in this department have either been put to silent or unplugged.

I am not alone in this experiance, the switchboard at Pinderfields and my GP have also been unable to make contact using these numbers.

I am aware that there is currently unrest within the Trust as a result of regrading and pay disputes and this may well be the root casue of the problem.

Thank you for this feedback. We will advise the Division of Medicine, which is responsible for cardiology, of the problems encountered.
