"Only visit A&E when there is a doctor on duty"

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

Anything else?

broken collar bone 22:00 Saturday - saw triage nurse within 10 mins - terrific - x-ray within another 20 mins - very good - pain relief - welcome! - water - grateful All staff, receptionists, triage nurse, x-ray, especially the nurse were terrific, smiling, helpful, sympathetic. Now wait 2 hours to see a doctor. When they eventually showed up, no explanation, no apology. Just said we can't fix it now, go to the fracture clinic on Tuesday. Then as we were leaving they decided to ask... had I hit my head? was I knocked out? was I dizzy? did I have pins and needles? This was first year medical student stuff. My first time in MK A&E and hopefully my last.
