"A hospital that you should stay away from!"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Anything else?

This is my 4th week at the royal and currently stayed in 3 different wards. I am very concerned about the cleaningess of the wards and even more so the cross infection control of staff ranging across from the doctors to the nursing assistants. The wash basins seems to be for visitors only... I am at the females only ward and due to my disablility, I need help going to the toilet. When I buzz, a male assistant came and I have instantly lost my remaining dignity! I asked the senior nurse if a female staff could help instead but the answer was 'I cannot gaurantee as we are short staff'. I am very disappointed and upset, how can this be a good hospital if the staff cannot even meet ones basic human need with respect and dignity?
