"Attendance at A & E"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Anything else?

I attended your A & E immediatley after arrival from Australia suffering symptons of Gastro. (2nd May 2013) We are Australian citizens visiting on holidays. I was admitted straight away and was examined initially by your nursing staff, followed by a doctor. I was placed on a drip as I was showing symptons of extreme de-hydtarion & stomach cramps, following the long plane trip from Melbourne. At all times your nursing staff & doctor showed me courtesy, sympathy, with typical British humour, understanding & empathy. My morale lifted & I felt much better after the treatment. I was able to obtain tablets & I fully recovered after several days. I was greatful to be a patient in your excellent medical sytem & was glad I was not in the USA! I was not charged for this service. Please pass on my thanks to the nurses, orderlies & doctors on that shift. Bill Stockdale Australia

Thanks for your comments. Hearing about positive experiences really motivates our staff, and helps us identify where we’re getting things right so we can share good practice across all of our services.
