"waiting for a MRCP scan"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

After being discharged from hospital, I noticed in my discharge papers that I was to have a MRCP scan. Well 8 and a half months later I was still waiting so my husband rang xray and he was told that they had no record of me needing one I had not been referred.

My husband contacted Linda Jebson who is my consultants secretary and she was on the case straight away. This was last week. Three hours later I was contacted and was told to go and have my scan the next day.

What a response! Could not have been quicker if I had gone private. Here was a lady trying her utmost to put right someone else's oversight.

Many thanks Linda. (I just hope that they don't forget the results LOL).
