I received a brilliant service!
I had been ill for some time but was brushed off by my GPs. At 3: 00 am on morning at the beginning of April I could not breath and woke up in some distress and decided to phone 111 to get advice.
The young lady who answered took my details and told me to wait for just 1 minute; she would come back to me. She did get back very quickly and asked me to collect up all my medication as an ambulance was on its way to take me to hospital.
The ambulance arrived within 4 minutes and took me to Charing Cross hospital where I was diagnosed with acute heart failure and pneumonia.
Everyone was efficient and reassuring; the whole experience was very quick.
