Last week we spent a night on the children's ward with our son. I have never before been to this hospital so we weren't sure what to expect. Our son has a chronic illness so we have seen more hospitals than the average parent.
We were so impressed that I felt I must get in touch and say how good the care he received was. Right through from A&E to the ward. I'm afraid I cant remember the names of the staff they did all introduce themselves but when you are in such a panic yourself you don't remember names.
It was Thursday and a male nurse plus the doctors were great, as were all the nurses and doctors on the ward, and the porter who escorted us to the ward. We felt we were in competent hands which was very reassuring. This alone was great but what stood out to both of us was how nice everyone was, very caring, genuine and sincere. You often meet some staff like this in a hospital but everyone we met was like this, it really was remarkable. Nothing was too much trouble everyone was so kind.
You hear so many bad things in the press about different hospitals and I think for those who give such excellent care it must be very disheartening. A big thank you to everyone, your hospital really does stand out to us.
