"Frustrating due to the lack of activities"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Pendle view inpatient unit

(as the patient),

I have found my time on Darwen largely frustrating due to the lack of activities which are centred around interaction and recovery.

However I would like to give a thumbs up to Nursing Assistant Nicole for trying her best to remedy this by holding quizzes and arts and crafts sessions.

Many thanks for your posting about the care you received on Darwen Ward. I have forwarded your comments to the manager for the unit so she can comment on your feedback about the lack of actitivities.

We appreciate that boredom on the ward can lead to frustrations, and we make a determined effort to ensure that activities happen.

Darwen ward has a healthcare support worker who has taken the lead on organising activities, and meets with the service users to help plan activities for that day. We also support the activity team staff to ensure that service users are able to access the activities in the Open Doors area.
