Anything else?
My husband was admitted via A&E on the evening of Sunday 12 May at around 9pm. By midnight he was waiting for a ward bed and by 3am was up in his ward. While on ward all scans and xrays all done efficiently. Was told at 9.30 would have a scan and be collected at 10am, and porter arrived promptly on time. Emergency major operation followed on Wednesday 15 May. Excellent care by all staff on ward 19, who we owe a very big thank you to and also all surgeons involved in operation and A&E staff. Wards and corridors and especially public toilets always very clean. Staff and patient canteen very good. Cannot be that bad judging by the influx of people for 12 o'clock lunch! A good service also provided is by the League of Friends who whisk visitors along the corridors in their airport style buggies. All in all we experienced an excellent service that proves the NHS does work.
