I had a RTA, had a MRI to the neck and I was referred to a neurologist at the above hospital. I was in constant pain, and thought this would be the beginning of the end. I had already collapsed at home because of my problems and I was informed that the reason must be an underlying injury.
Amazing, I leave the hospital and told that I only need physio! I try the physio and collapse and I have a later MRI that shows to discs compressing the upper spinal cord. These were missed, the neurologist clearly stated that they were a nerve specialist, something I find hard to believe if they miss two cord compressions and recommend physio! Naturally, there is a training or skills problem here.
As a direct result of the physio, I have been left in more pain and with more problems. I now walk with a limp. This could have been avoided if a MRI to the upper back had been authorised.
A very poor service that has cost me my job and left me in a very poor state.
