About: Wexham Park Hospital

Anything else?

I waited more than 7 hours for a scan and blood test results when serious infection of my girlfriends gallbladder was suspected and eventually confirmed. the surgeon I was waiting hours for was meant to be busy in surgery and clearly wasn't, he was in clear view, wondering around, socializing with colleagues. The main problem with this hospital, staff are rude and unhelpful. There is a clear lack of communication between staff also. I counted 5 different staff asking me the same questions, any previous operations and so on. I saw an elderly man with with dimentia being laughed at, in his face, by nurses, showing a total disregard the stress he was clearly in(ward 3). It makes me shameful of our hospital staff and how they are being monitored and measured for quality.

We are really disappointed to hear of the poor staff attitude which you have witnessed, along with a lack of communication. We will raise this with the Lead Nurse and Matron for Ward 3. We would like the opportunity to look into this further. If you would like us to do so, please contact our Patient Relations team on 01753 634081 or via email patientrelations@hwph-tr.nhs.uk with further information.
