"Staff communication - or lack of!"

About: Solihull Hospital

Anything else?

I had an appointment as an outpatient at 10.30am and 11am. At 11.10 I asked when I would be seen. Apparently I had been crossed off one list but not another, so clinical staff didn't know I was there. I was told by two staff members it was not their fault, and maybe it wasn't, but their system clearly doesn't work if all staff cannot access essential computer data. I was seen 55 minutes late for my first appointment and 1 hour 15 minutes late for the second. I accept some delay is unavoidable, but feel this is excessive, especially as many people who came in after me were seen before me.
