"Ovarian cancer diagnosis"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Anything else?

I underwent major surgery following diagnosis of a complex cyst. This turned out to be ovarian cancer. I was extremely impressed by my consultant and their colleagues, all nursing staff on Ward 21 and indeed all staff with whom I came into contact during the course of my diagnosis. Their total professionalism, coupled with a sense of humour and the jovial banter on Ward 21 made an extremely anxious time more bearable. The nurse on Ward 21 deserves to be singled out for going more than the extra mile. A huge thank you to the team - I am forever in your debt.
