"Emergency admission to Lincoln County"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

(as the patient),

I was brought by ambulance to a+e on the afternoon of 16th may, I was immediately taken to a cubicle for assessment, after about 15 minutes I requested to go the toilet as was suffering extreme pain in my stomach, which was the reason for my admission.

I subsequently lost 2 pints of blood and was immediately taken to resuss and given oxygen and put on an ecg due to extremely low blood pressure, when this rose enough to move me I was taken to weau where I lost another 2 pints.

I was taken straight down for an endoscopy and an ulcer was pierced and clipped, I was then given a 4 unit blood transfusion and had several other canulars attached to my arms! !

Throughout all this, the nurses and doctors were fantastic, very attentive and reassuring, when I was moved to Dixon ward the care was just the same, from the nurses and doctors to the ladies that helped me wash, changed my bedding and brought me meals and drinks, made me feel comfortable. Even when I had to go to the toilet while lying in bed.

What a fantastic service, so friendly and helpful when I was scared half to death with worry, thankyou all so very much
