I was admitted with an Empyema resulting from a severe sepsis, I was transferred from Birmingham QE Hospital, I had been critically ill. I would like to thank all of the staff who looked after me at Heartlands. The Doctors kept me fully informed of the medical interventions they were planning to deal with my condition. They carried out a Thoracotomy but to due a further collection a second operation was neccessary a week later. At all times I was convinced of the Doctors competence in dealing with my condition. The nursing care was of the highest standard. At all times nurses exhibited care and compassion in meeting patients needs, ensuring that we were as comfortable as our conditions would allow. Thank you to all staff
