"Lost Notes, Again!"

About: Rochdale Infirmary

Anything else?

My wife has today attended another maternity meeting (2nd child), supposedly with her consultant from our 1st child, as she has numerous medical conditions that need to be taken into account, as well as complications with our 1st child. OK, I do understand that student doctors need to be trained, and I'm sure it would all have been OK, however, yet again my wife's notes have been misplaced. The file is like war and peace, and now she is having to re-itterate everything to a trainee doctor, who is having to check everything with the consultant next door. During her 1st pregnancy we needed to consult a heart specialist and managed to do so the day she gave birth, and we had to explain everything to the midwives on duty as the notes weren't available then either. This is despite us going through everything at the start of the pregnancy. Missing notes every corner we turned. ...and just in case last time wasn't stressful enough, yes, Pennine Trust have lost them again!! 3 appointments so far and still no sign of them! This is a good opportunity for me to put this in writing, for everyone to see, in the hope that the complacency that affected us last time is sorted sooner this time.
