"Good experience at Bournemouth A&E. Only 2..."

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

Anything else?

Unfortunately I had an accident Saturday morning that meant going to Bournemouth A&E. I was very pleased with the attention from start to finish. Everyone was caring and I couldn't have asked for more. I was also pleasantly surprised by speed that I was processed - no doubt helped by being early Saturday morning. I can't think of any reasonable improvement that I could suggest. If I was to be critical of any aspect - I was surprised at lack of anti-bacterial gel dispensers. I didn't see any on entry, at reception desk or in waiting area. Only one I saw was near a corridor leading further into hospital. I also suggest that you get the payment machine working as I was unable to pay for my prescription. Instead I have to make promise to pay later by phone - which of course I will do - but this is subject to abuse and unnecessary extra cost to hospital.

Dear Patient I would like to thank you for taking the time for sending us such positive feedback. I am really pleased that we met your expectations. I think that maybe you did miss the hand gels however I appreciate we really need to ensure that these are made much more highly visable and I appreciate both your ideas included in your review. We take feedback very seriously and I will be sharing your feedback with the senior nurse in ED. Thank you once again. Sue Mellor Head of Patient Experience
