"Outpatient waiting for treatment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Anything else?

I have been an outpatient at this hospital for at least since 1997 and have to return at 9 month intervals for cleaning my mastoid cavities. I had bi-lateral mastoidectomy's approx. 55+ years ago at St Bartholomews hospital, London. At various times I've had infections in the ears but when I ask for an appointment at ENT, It's refused and I am told to see my GP. This last month I have been suffering from an infection in my left ear, despite seeing three GP's who have prescribed antibiotics, none of which have worked. the last GP saw me on 13th May and I've just received a choose and book form on 18th May. I'm told that there is an 55 day delay before I can see a Consultant. This is not good enough!! However, I cannot fault the Consultants and Nurses Wen I am allowed to see them. So Its 5 stars to the medical staff.
