"rubbish doctors at skeg hospital"

About: Skegness Hospital

Anything else?

my mum broke 2 fingers on October 5 2012, she went for x-rays. doc said not broken even though they were black and swollen, he told het to go home put ice on them and wrap in crepe bandage. 8 weeks later back to Skegness hospital more x-rays. no still not broken. and they had no record of her attending. next evening a phone call from pilgrim hospital to attend their fracture clinic asap. she recently had an operation on them which has not worked due to be left too long by doctors. the same doctor told me there was nothing wrong with my knee after a fall, even though I have had treatment for it at pilgrim and have seen my xrays which show a complete fracture of the knee cap and my consultant says I need a knee replacement

LCHS are very sorry to hear of the experience that you and your mother experienced in the Urgent Care Centre at Skegness Hospital. This is not the standard of care that we aim to provide and we would be very keen to discuss further the issues you have raised with you so that we can fully investigate these matters and ensure that any lessons are learnt to ensure the standard of care we provide is always high. We would encourage you to contact us through the Complaints Officer, Ruth Taylor on 01522 582920.
