On emergency admission not a single wheelchair in the whole hospital could be found to support a straight leg following a new knee replacement done successfully in Nottm. I had to hold the operated leg up manually. After 3hpurs I was put into the new admissions ward which was full to bursting point as the geriatric wards had been closed and all those patients were now on this ward. The place was filthy. Congested and chaotic but the staff were very kind and under pressure. At 4 am I was. Moved to another ward along with many othe people the ward had been closed for months it smelt damp and when the air con came on at 6 am the smell was horrendous of wet filthy cloth. The women in he next bed was so distressed she discharge herself. If I had not got the all clear I also was on the verge of discharging myself. I have been to many hospitals throught the uk and Wales with elderly parents throught the years lincoln county is by fare the worst and most disturbing I have ever been too. This hospital has major problems.
