"absolutely disgusted"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

stayed in ward 4 for a week and a half . within this time i was left waiting for painkillers for 2 hours although crying and clearly in pain . my back went in violent spasm and the sister left me in writhing in pain for an hour then came back with a blood pressure machine placed it next to my bed then disappeared for a further half an hour , no adjustment of the bed to help posture, no painkillers . just left to deal with it . food was awful items frequently left off even though they had been requested . and to top it off i was told they would no longer wheel me to the toilet ( 7ft away! ) because of my weight . this was said in front of the entire bay which clearly upset me and not even an apology! doctors bedside manner was so awful i refused to be seen from him anymore . doctors did not listen to me . its my body . surly you should listen to me if i say something is wrong? since being discharged i have had no referrals even though i was promised a referral to the chronic pain team and a physiotherapist , i was simply sent out with a bag of pills . nurses during the day were amazing . the staff nurses were truly awful . 4 weeks on and still in pain and have been bed bound for half of that time . i will never return to that hospital .
