"visiting terminally ill friend"

About: Weston General Hospital

Anything else?

last year a friend of mine was admitted as she was terminally ill and only had a week or two left to live. friends took it in turns to go and visit, i mainly went evenings as i was and still am a student and worked most days or did college work.

i like to say the staff on the assessment unit were fantastic, would allow us to stay as long as we wanted, and regularly checked we were ok. we were often offered a cup of tea of coffee as well, and would help us move our fiend if she had discomfort. i cant actually fault the staff at all over that period of time.

it was over the the summer this happened. cant remember exact dates but would like to thank the staff who were around at that time, id have done this sooner if i knew this forum existed xxx
