Anything else?
Last year I had a knee operation in the orthopaedics unit. The consultant was very helpful and explained the procedure to me. However when it came to the day, the anaesthetist had great difficulty administering the spinal anaesthetic and they had to ask a colleague to help them. During the operation I could hear everything and the sound of the hammering was very disturbing. Now, 10 months later the knee still bothers me and together with my hip keeps me awake at night. Normally I have a very high pain threshold. I feel that post operative appointments should be made easier
At last I have an appointment for a hip replacement ( after the first appointment was cancelled at short notice)
On another subject I feel I must say thank you to the Dermatology department. The surgeon was excellent, removing a couple of small growths from my face very painlessly and quickly
