Anything else?
I had breast reconstruction surgery here on 30 April. I was on Ward1, and my treatment was excellent. My surgeon is a real expert in her field, and also completely dedicated to her job. I feel very lucky to have had her to do my operation. Staff on Ward 1 were fantastic - nurses, physios, student nurse, cleaners - all of them very caring and extremely hard working. The ward is spotlessly clean, and staff were absolutely committed to making sure I had everything I needed to be as comfortable as possible, and to make a full and speedy recovery. Thank you everyone!
However, I am concerned that from July, Ward 1 will close for patients like me, and in future they will be on a large surgical ward, which is likely to be mixed sex. I fail to see how this will be practical, or give patients like me the privacy and personal space they need, especially in the early post-op. phase?
"Excellent treatment"
