About: Yeovil District Hospital

Anything else?

I am writing to tell you of my experience of yeovil hospital on my recent visits.

Was admitted to a and e on saturday evening as i had a fall, was taken by ambulance and when i got to a and e was put into the corridor as there was no room in the cubicles was eventually seen by a nurse who assesd me and was told i would be seen soon. Many hours later was seen and had an exray waited goodness knows how long maybe anther hour or two before being seen again by this time was very stressed and in pain, was told i had damaged ligaments and sent home without crutches or a knee brace, was completly unable to walk, had to have a wheelchair to the car.

saw my doctor two days later he was angry and said i should have been strapped up and had crutches, he sent me straight up to a and e and i had to wait in the waiting room for over three and a half hours and when i was seen couldnt understand the foriegn staff, an english nurse had to explain to the foriegn member of staff what i meant, eventualy got my knee strapped up and crutches. The whole experiencce was bad for me, if i ever have another accident i dont want to be taken to yeovil hospital.
