"An absolute disgrace"

Anything else?

I attended the Urgent Care Centre with my 14 year old daughter on Sunday night. She had sustained a severe burn to her hand on Wednesday which was being dressed by the Urgent Care Centre at the Beacon but had developed new severe pain radiating up her arm which was not responding to Ibuprofen/paracetamol. I asked if we could see a doctor as the burn had not previously been medically assessed. The doctor who saw us squeezed her upper arm, said it was a soft tissue injury, did not remove the dressing or assess the burn and said that as we had an appointment the following day to see a nurse she could be assesseed then as to wheather or not there was infection. If this is the level of care that the PRU is providing the sooner it's management is taken over by Kings the better. I will be lodging a formal complaint.
