"Bladder infection."

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

Anything else?

On the 9th of April I came to the Princess Royal for a 2:30 appointment for a Flexible Cystoscopy examination at Cuckfield Ward. I was seen with out delay, and the staff were helpful, and considerate.

I followed the advice I was given, to drink plenty.

However with in just under 36 hours of getting home, I was getting pains in my kidneys, pain when urinating, and blood in my urine. This meant a late night visit to the out of hours doctor, were he confirmed that I had a bladder infection. The result of this is that I’ve had a very unpleasant time trying to deal with this infection, with three different antibiotics, and a lot of pain discomfort and stress, for the best part of a month.

While I realise that there will always be a risk with any invasive procedure, I would hope that every effort is being made to prevent the risk of infection happening.

Having to go through this again would seriously discourage me form having any further checkups.
