"Lack of information following endoscopy"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

Two weeks ago my husband was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia.

Due to an unforeseen circumstance the consultant did not have time to discuss treatment or medication. He was informed he would hear from him that same week.

Two weeks later and nothing, the consultants secretary knows nothing about it and our own GP will not treat as he has not had confirmation. Therefore my husband is still in agony, still losing blood, vomiting and nowhere to turn.

We're very sorry to hear this. We would need the name and details of your husband, and which consultant he is under so that we can investigate.

Please would you call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01204 390193 so that we can pick this up for you.
