"If the radiographer thinks it is urgent it should be acted on"

About: Devon Access and Referral Team (DART)

(as the patient),

Having complex medical problems, an amber MRI was advised but this was not acted on. Only CT scan and then I have waited two weeks for this and it is effecting me badly worrying like mad.

Advised by ultrasound to have MRI. Two months later it’s here waiting patiently.

I think that if radiographer thinks its urgent then they should put into place an appt for scans not leave the doctors to act on.

Dear ‘Florence12’,

Thank for you taking the time to add your comments about the your referral, I can only apologise that your referral for an MRI was changeable and caused you to worry.

Unfortunately DART are not able to book MRI tests and this would have been managed by your GP and the local hospital, if you are happy to I would suggest contacting your GP Practice in the first instance or the PALS Team on 0300 123 1672 or pals.devon@nhs.net.

Best wishes

Gemma Tremlett
