"Anticoagulant clinic"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Anything else?

A consultant needs to take a seat in the anticoag clinic waiting to have their INR checked. It feels like you are just a number with no feelings . Shoved in a tiny room with no windows or light and then moved around by calling a number. Then stabbed by a non communicative MLO no eye contact Just "can I have your number' . Then to be asked to move repeatedly into the next chair and wait til some guy with no eye contact tells you what to take . I dont know who he was or what his name was . He could have a cleaner for all I knew as i could nt see his ID badge . No introduction or hello . Thanks GOod Hope for making me feel like a sheep who needs to be sheared .Having a DVT and taking wafarin is no fun and we didnt ask to have one and surely we deserve the dignity and repect of any patient coming in for treatment.

Can i say a big thank you to Ambulatory Care Staff who were fantastic .Can I come back?
