"Absolutely nothing."

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

(as a relative),

What I liked

Absolutely nothing.

What could be improved

The hospital was absolutely filthy, there was blood on the floor, litter, dust etc. The walls were mouldy and peeling from damp. The doctor was late because he kept having tea breaks meaning the appointment was 40 minutes late. The worst hopsital I have ever been too. I was too scared to touch anything, it was dispicable.

At QVH we were very concerned to read of Ms Barnes' experience.

This hospital has an excellent reputation for the quality of our clinical care, cleanliness and for the personal approach we have with our patients. We have amongst the best patient survey results in the country; we have won the Nursing Times 'Top Hospital' award two years running (2007 and 2008) and we have the highest possible rating from the Healthcare Commission: Excellent / Excellent.

We are unable to respond in more detail, as the comments are not specific. However, we are grateful that Ms Barnes has approached the hospital directly about her concerns, so that we can understand and address them.
