Anything else?
I am elderly and had a 2 week eye irritation which became much worse overnight.
I only had to wait 45 minutes in all. The junior and senior nurses and a doctor were all very respectful (always "Sir" and "Mr ...", so welcome!) and, though not native English speakers, all spoke slowly and clearly. The examination room surfaces and machinery were wiped down meticulously in my presence before my examination. Everything was explained to me carefully and backed up with leaflets.I was more than impressed.
The triage and reception staff were less clear in their speech and over-rapid - a little impatient when asked to repeat. They were not impolite, but more "standard NHS" than the medical staff were.
The organisation was quite streamlined, though it was not too busy on that Saturday morning. I was attended to quickly and cheerfully in the pharmacy.
I was fully satisfied with my treatment. Thank you Moorfields. I'll make a donation.
