"High standard of care in the areas that matter"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

The level of care that I have received from the Consultant in the department has always been excellent. He takes the time to discuss issues and talk through the options, he always leaves me feeling like a human being and not just an example of a health condition.

The specialist diabetic nurse is incredibly helpful, understands how it feels to be diabetic and gives really sound advice.

The general nursing staff in the department vary, some are lovely, but others can be a little off hand, you are just yet another patient not a person sometimes.

‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at John.Goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
