What I liked
With experience in the Labour, Maternity, Childrens ward and A&E recently, I can rate this Hospital as the best NHS Hospital I have visited.
With previous experience at Portsmouth, Southampton and Milton Keynes, St Richards has really put huge faith in my view of the NHS.
My Family is fortunate enough to have private medical cover through work so until recently any hospital visits have been to Bupa in Havant. I really thought before attending St Richards, we would recieve second rate NHS service in comparison. Apart from some wards looking a little tired (I beleive the maternity block is due a full refurbishment) I was wrong in my pre judgement.
All staff at St Richards were polite, caring and proffesional in all aspects.
Well done to all at this Hospital.
The only real grumble is the parking costs. I beleive this contributes an annual income in the region of £250,000.
What could be improved
Cheaper parking costs
A decent coffee machine which atleast worked.
Better facilities in the parents room in the childrens ward.
