My experience of St Richards couldn't have been better!
My son was born in the maternity unit and i received the best of care - even though the staff were stretched to the maximum they were very caring to both myself and my son.
I have since used the A&E department were my son was seen by a nurse and then a doctor within 20 minutes his care was excellent and i was kept informed of his care by the staff at all times - my son was seen treated and was able to come home - we are so lucky to have a hospital like St Richards - I previously lived in London and you couldn't compare the service we have here with there - they have filthy hospitals, you wait for ages for an appointment - i know which hospital i would choose if i needed one - well done St Richards and thankyou.
What could be improved
Nothing really - Maternity unit is being decorated,and modernised this needed doing badly - more help in maternity would help - perhapss some of the car parking money could give better facilities in the maternity unit - (ie) better vending machines.
