Anything else?
I was taken into A and E on Sunday night with very bad chest pain. Had tests in ambulance and didnt think it was a heart attack but where very good and gave me excellent care and pain relief. In A and E I felt ignored because I had lost my speech I wrote down the answer to their questions but replies where shouted at me as if I was deaf. I needed the toilet but coulldnt walk so a bed pan was brought for me I was left with it for over half an hour. A more senior nurse looked round the curtain didnt speak to me and left the bedpan. i was in extreme pain which was ignored. The floor of the room I was in was dirty with paper on the floor and blood stains. I was eventually taken to AAU where I finally did get some pain relief and a drink of water. Unfortunately an elderly lady was crying all night next to me so sleep was impossible. In the morning I had to leave my bed and was sent to the waiting room to see a doctor. I waited ages to be told i had muscular pain and could go home. i had no money and my phone was dead so had to ask to use a phone in AAU reception. I was snapped at and told to be quick. Then I had nowhere to wait as the waiting area for discharged patients was no longer their. No seating just outside the hospital except in the garden area so \i stood for 45 mins waiting to be collected. Altogether a terrible experience on this occasion
