"ACL Surgery which just got worse"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

Anything else?

This review starts very bad, but gets better and is still ongoing!

Been waiting for ACL surgery for nearly 2 years, been pushed from pillar to post having operation cancelled then postponed , granted some dates I couldn't make but have been accommodating and flexible! The final straw came when I was called and told I should have been in hospital having an operation that morning! I had no word on this! During this time I have injured my knee several times due to it being unsteady and weak! Just over two weeks ago it went again! This time I tore my meniscus cartilage, thankfully I saw a knee specialist who got me in for an arthroscopic examination and to trim the cartilage, all this was done in a week, things now appear to be moving forward at pace! The operation was a success, staff all great. My one complaint was being called in at 8am to wait till 1.30pm for the operation to take place! Nurses, surgeon, anestheticst and everyone else where great! I am now waiting on the ACL reconstruction surgery, I will review again soon, I hope!
