"Acute Severe Stomach Pain"

I was rushed to hospital with excruciatingly severe stomach pain. I had recently received a diagnosis of chronic pancratitis and although my whole stomach was agonising any pressure or pushing gently down on the area where my pancreas was caused me to jump out of my skin. The nurses were absolutely fantastic and the speed with which I was attended to was very good. They treated me urgently and it was a great relief. Pain relief was given to me very swiftly. I had tried to endure the pain for 3 hours previously at home and only went to hospital when my doctor insisted over the phone. My issue though is that although I had a very thorough ultrasound scan the ultrasound doctor did explain to me that it was impossible for her to view the pancreas on the actual ultrasound. She said it would not show up and this is where the pain radiated from. She also said that I had enlarged dilated bile ducts which she would make a note of and she said they could be a sign of a problem with my pancreas. Even though the most likely thing I was sick with (I had severe nausea too), could not actually be seen I was upset when I got my discharge details that none of the discoveries the hospital had made were on there. It had been left off that my blood tests had shown high inflammatory markers, left off that there was extreme pain if I was examined under the rib and also no mention and left off that the bile ducts were dilated. This means that any issues with my pancreas were left untreated and unexplored and my doctor will get a discharge copy with all of those discoveries left off it. I don't understand why that information was disregarded. The ultrasound doctor said that "the dilated bile ducts are very significant" and the blood tests showed something was clearly chronically inflamed. I am grateful for the speed with which I was attended to and grateful for the pain relief but I was admitted with a suspected chronic pancreatitis flare up (acute) and left with that untreated and unexplored. Would it not have been prudent to send me for a scan that could actually see the pancreas and send an accurate report to my doctor not one with medical finds left off it.
