"Ward 7B"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Anything else?

I have been an in patient in Aintree the Royal and Broadgreen on numerous occasions over the last 12 years. Several times I have had cause to make complaint's.

Late last month I spent six day's on ward 7B. Whilst it is never a pleasant experience being an in patient in any hospital, the staff on this ward, besides being extremely competent professionals showed such a high level of emotional intelligence, compassion and empathy that I was completely blown away!

The atmosphere that permeated this ward I found to be uplifting and inspiring.

Being a critical and vocal observer in the past I feel it is about time I praised the positive side. It seemed to me that everybody on that ward, from the professor to the doctor's and the student nurses, as well as the cleaner's and the personel serving the tea and coffee they all contributed to creating what I can only describe as a healing environment.

Thank you one and all.

Roger Edwards

Thank you for your kind comment Mr Edwards. We have passed this on to the staff on the ward. Thank you.
