"In praise of the AAU"

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

Anything else?

My 20 year old son was admitted to AAU on the 18th April 2013, with very worrying symptoms. He was diagnosed with neutropenic sepsis, caused by a severe viral infection, which also suppressed his bone marrow. He was very scared and felt very vulnerable, but during his entire stay (18th-30th April), the entire staff treated him with utmost professionalism, care and compassion, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They are all wonderful, caring people who made his stay that little bit more bearable. Neither of us will ever forget their kindness.
