"My hospital stay "

About: Raigmore Hospital / Accident & Emergency Raigmore Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics Scottish Ambulance Service

(as the patient),

I cannot thank all the services enough for the care I received after breaking both my ankles earlier this month. The two female paramedics in the ambulance were absolutely first class.

This was followed by excellent treatment from Dr Haggerty and all the other staff in A & E and also X ray.

I had a 5 night stay in 3A which was unbelievable, the staff were rushed off their feet but nothing seemed to phase them, I have great admiration for them. They always made sure the patients had all they could eat if unable to feed themselves, nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Dr Beastall and others who worked with him were so pleasant and explained everything so well, it was very reassuring.

The physios were so nice they made the gruesome tasks almost appealing.

The porters and domestics were also helpful and pleasant.

My visit to Orthotics was also a positive with very helpful, friendly staff. I must remember to mention the food too which I found to be better than I expected and enough to eat.

All in all I have the highest praise for everyone I came in contact with.

Well done for an excellent service..

Thank you all.

Dear MHM

Thank you so much for feeding back on your recent treatment and care. I am glad everyone was able to do their bit and hope you are well on the road to recovery. You nicely capture how a complex case requires lots of staff and departments to come together, as well as paramedics. Lots of people comment on the food. It shows how important it is that we get this right too!

Let us know how you get on with your recovery and if there is anything more we can do to help.

I will happily feed-back to all concerned your comments.

Dear MHM

Thanks for taking the trouble to let us know how well you were looked after when you broke both your ankles.

As Maimie says, it's great to hear that every part of your care went well, and that you had excellent service from start to finish.

I hope you're making a good recovery. In the meantime, I'll share your feedback with the staff in North Division so they can see how well you're doing, and how much you appreciate the excellent service you received.
